Cosmetic dentistry covers anything we do to improve how your teeth look. Sometimes it's one quick fix. Sometimes it's a combination of treatments that come together over a few visits. Here are the options.

  • Veneers: Thin, custom-made shells of porcelain or resin that bond to the front of your teeth. Veneers can fix chips, close small gaps, brighten color, and reshape teeth. They look natural and last a long time when cared for well.
  • Bonding: A tooth-colored resin shaped onto the tooth to fix chips, close small gaps, or smooth out a worn edge. Often done in one visit and far less expensive than veneers. A great option for small fixes.
  • Teeth whitening: In-office and take-home whitening that brightens your natural teeth several shades. The fastest, easiest cosmetic upgrade. More on whitening here.
  • Invisalign: Clear aligners that gently straighten teeth without metal braces. We're a Gold-level Invisalign provider, which reflects experience treating a wide range of cases. More on Invisalign here.
  • Tooth-colored fillings: Composite fillings that match the color of your tooth. If you have older silver fillings showing when you laugh, they can be replaced with tooth-colored ones for a cleaner look.
  • Crowns (for cosmetic reasons): Sometimes a tooth that's heavily worn, broken, or discolored needs more than a veneer. A crown covers the whole tooth and can completely change its shape, color, and feel. More on crowns here.

Cost and financing

Cosmetic dentistry is rarely covered by insurance, but most patients use financing to spread the cost over time. Here are your options.

  • Third-party financing through CareCredit, Alphaeon, and Cherry spreads payments over months or years.
  • HSA and FSA accepted for treatments that count as medical.
  • Smile Plan members save on most treatments. The Smile Plan does not cover cosmetic procedures themselves, but the member discount applies to a lot of related work.

Not when it's done right. We design veneers, crowns, and other cosmetic work to match your face, your other teeth, and the look you actually want. No giant Hollywood teeth unless that's what you ask for.

Veneers and crowns typically last 10 to 20 years or more with good care. Bonding and whitening don't last as long but cost much less. We'll talk through trade-offs so you can pick what fits.

No. A lot of patients start with one treatment (often whitening) and add more over time as they're ready. We can lay out a plan that's paced over months or years.

One tooth is totally fine. A surprising number of people come in to fix just one chip or one stained tooth. That's a perfectly normal visit.

Most cosmetic work is comfortable. Anything that involves shaping the tooth (veneers, bonding, crowns) is done with the area fully numbed. Whitening and aligners aren't painful at all, though some people get short-lived sensitivity.

Often, yes. Straightening with Invisalign first means we can do less to your natural teeth later, which is almost always the better long-term plan. We'll lay that out at your consultation.
