FAQs

Booking and your first visit

Call us at (808) 515-4222, fill out the appointment request form, text us, or tap the chat bubble in the corner. We get back to you the same business day.

Yes, always. Whether you're new to Hawaii or just looking for a new dentist, we'd love to meet you.

If you filled out your paperwork from the text link we sent, just show up at your appointment time. If you'd rather fill out paper forms in the office, plan to arrive 15 minutes early.

Your insurance card (if you have dental insurance), a photo ID, and a list of any medications you take regularly. Other than that, just yourself.

The first floor of our building is free patient parking. Take the elevator up to Suite 301 on the third floor, where our practice is. (The second floor is currently under construction as we expand.)

Yes. We see families together all the time. If your other kids aren't being seen, you're welcome to bring them, but bringing a second adult helps so you can focus on the patient in the chair.

Insurance, payment, and the Smile Plan

Most patients use our in-house Smile Plan, which covers 2 cleanings, 2 checkups, and a full-mouth X-ray for one yearly fee, plus a member discount on other treatment. We also accept HSA and FSA, and offer third-party financing through CareCredit, Alphaeon, and Cherry.

The Smile Plan is an in-house membership, not insurance. You pay us directly once a year and get the benefits described above. No deductible, no annual cap, no claim forms. Many patients save more on the Smile Plan than they would with traditional dental insurance.

We accept most major PPO dental insurance plans. Give us a call with your plan info and the front desk will confirm before your visit.

Before any treatment beyond a routine visit, we give you a clear total in writing. No surprise charges. You decide whether to move forward.

Yes. Third-party financing through CareCredit, Alphaeon, and Cherry spreads bigger treatments over months or years. We also accept HSA and FSA for eligible treatments.

Yes. We're a Gold-level Invisalign provider, which means we have significant experience treating a wide range of cases.

Yes. Our in-house oral surgeon places implants right in our office, and our dentists handle the restoration on top. Start to finish in one place. More on implants.

Yes. We're the only dental office in Waipahu with an in-house denture lab. Same-day repairs and adjustments. Custom dentures designed and built right here. More on dentures.

Both in-office (one visit) and take-home with custom trays. Professional-strength gels are far more effective than anything at the drugstore. More on whitening.

We offer thorough local numbing, plus a gentle pace and careful technique to keep you comfortable. We do not offer nitrous oxide, oral sedation, or IV sedation. If you have anxiety or need deeper sedation, let us know when you call so we can talk through what fits.

Refer a friend, win $500

Every friend you refer who shows up for their first appointment counts as one entry. At the end of the month, we randomly pick a winner from the pool and call them personally. More on Refer a Friend.

Always worth $500, but the form varies month to month. Sometimes a $500 Visa gift card, sometimes a curated gift. Announced on Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok at the start of each month (all @smiledentalcenterinc).

As many as you want. Each friend who shows up for their first appointment is a separate entry.

Yes! Our second floor is currently under construction.
