About our practice
We've been the dental home for families across Waipahu and West Oahu since 2001. Three generations of patients have trusted us with their smiles, and we don't take that lightly.
Smile Dental Center is family-owned, and we mean that literally. Dr. Gina Viernes opened the practice in 2001 with a simple idea: dentistry should feel personal, not transactional. Patients should leave understanding what was done and why, not staring at a bill they don't recognize.
Twenty-five years later, that's still the standard. We treat every patient the way we'd want our own family treated, because most of our patients have been with us long enough that they basically are family.

We're not the biggest dental office in Waipahu. We're the one that's been here the longest, with the most under one roof.
A quarter century in the same community. We've watched kids who came in for their first checkup bring their own kids back to us.
Most dental offices send denture work out to a third-party lab. We do it here. That means same-day repairs and adjustments, and fewer trips back and forth.
Wisdom teeth, surgical extractions, and implant placement are usually referred out by general dentists. We handle them in-house. One office, one team, one familiar face for the whole treatment.
Invisalign's Gold tier reflects significant case experience. We've helped many patients straighten their teeth without metal braces, and we know what works.
Every patient gets honest answers, gentle hands, and a clear plan. We'll never recommend treatment you don't need, and we'll always explain why we're recommending what we are.
Our team speaks English, Tagalog, Kapampangan, Ilocano, Japanese, and Vietnamese. If you're more comfortable in one of these, just let us know when you book.
We're proud to care for families across Waipahu and West Oahu, including Ewa Beach, Kapolei, Mililani, Pearl City, and Aiea. Patients drive from across the island for our denture lab and oral surgery services.
