Our Team
Dr. Gina Viernes,DMD
Founder & Dentist
Originally from the Philippines, Dr. Viernes graduated from Dental School at Centro Escolar University in 1987. She began her dental career in the Philippines and later migrated to Hawaii in 1996. She continued her education at Las Vegas Institute for Advancing Dental Studies from 2006 to 2009, studying full-mouth rehabilitation, neuromuscular dentistry, orthodontics, and implants. Dr. V continues to dedicate herself to cutting-edge techniques and dentistry.

The ambitious Dr. Viernes established Smile Dental Center Inc in March of 2001 at its original location in Waipahu. After that, she pioneered the grand opening of The Smile Dental Center Building in 2020, achieving her dream of honoring her parents and family with a legacy that will continuously give back to the community and many generations to come.
​
When not in the office, she loves spending time with her family, swimming, snorkeling, biking, and gardening.

Dr. Finn Esrason,DMD
Dentist
Dr. Finn graduated from Tufts School of Dental Medicine in 1996 in Boston, Massachusetts. After working in the Restorative and Prosthodontics Department at Tufts. Dr. Finn resigned from his job there and moved to Oahu to be with his family.

Since he began practicing dentistry, Dr. Finn has kept up to date with continuing educational classes, ensuring that his patients receive the most comprehensive and advanced dental care.
He constantly continues his education by attending conferences and online courses on the latest and newest information.
​
When not in the office, he enjoys being with his wife and family, the beach, swimming, cooking (sometimes), walking his little dog Lola, and traveling.

Dr. Kentaro Matsumoto,
DDS
Dentist
Dr. Kentaro is from a long lineage of Dentists dating back to his Grandmother. Originally from Japan, he graduated from Showa University Dental School in 2002 and furthered his education here in the U.S., graduating from the University of Southern California's School of Dentistry in 2015. He is a master of many trades. He received his MBA from Hawaii Pacific University in 2009 and is an international graduate of USC's Advance Standing Program for International Dentists in 2013.

When not in the office caring for patients, you can find him surfing, traveling the world, and refining his music.

Dr. William Sicilia,DMD
Dentist
Dr. Sicilia grew up in Philadelphia and graduated from The School of Dentistry at Temple University in Delaware. Since graduating, he has kept up to date with innovative dental procedures and techniques such as implants, Invisalign, surgeries, and many more. He specializes in high-anxiety patients and always works to provide a fun and comfortable experience for all of his patients.

When not in the office, he enjoys spending time with his dog, hiking, and free diving. Fun fact: he once swam 90ft in just one breath!

Marian Manaois,RDH
Hygienist
Marian is our one and only beloved hygienist at Smile Dental Center. She has been with the practice since 2007 and can't think of a better place to be than taking care of her patients.

When not in the office, she is an extraordinaire animal rescuer, caring for furry creatures regardless of their health disposition.
